Description

COMPOSITION: Each 100g product contain:

Formaldehyde 40 g

ANTIMICROBIAL PROPERTIES:

Has bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal activity against: Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, etc.

Effective against yeasts and moulds: Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger, Penicillium spp.;

Animal pathogens such as Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV), Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV), and Avian Influenza Virus (AIV).

Use only in empty, enclosed areas with adequate ventilation, where no people or animals are present throughout the contact period.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION AREA:

Standard range: Each Acidex Fogides PF block is used for 300–500 m³, depending on the organic load in the area and the disinfection objective.

Heavy contamination/high organic load: ~ 300 m³/ block

Routine disinfection: ~ 400 m³/ block

Prevention/low organic load: ~ 500 m³/ block

METHOD OF USE:

Environmental conditions:

Ensure appropriate relative humidity and temperature to achieve effective fumigation.

Maintain good air distribution within the enclosed space.

Preparation:

Remove all people and animals from the area. Close/cover food and drinking water areas; seal gaps as much as possible.

Turn off or isolate HVAC systems connected to occupied areas. Place warning signs at entrances.

Procedure:

Distribute the required number of Acidex Fogides PF block evenly throughout the area and place them on heat-resistant, non-combustible trays.

Ignite the surface of each Acidex Fogides PF block. After a short burning period, allow the block to smoulder without flame to generate vapour for disinfection.

Keep the area sealed throughout the disinfection period.

Contact, ventilation and re-entry:

Minimum contact time: ≥ 8 hours in an enclosed space.

Re-entry time: Do not re-enter the treated area earlier than 12 hours from the start of treatment and only re-enter after ventilation (≥ 60 minutes, longer for large or complex spaces) until the odour has almost completely dissipated.

The “~ 3 hours” information previously seen does not apply to the standard disinfection procedure for this product and has been revised according to the parameters above to ensure consistent efficacy and safety.

Safety and warnings

Required personal protective equipment: Appropriate respirator in accordance with regulations, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and eye/face protection.

Do not inhale product dust/smoke/vapour. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling the product.

Avoid release into the environment. Dispose of empty packaging in accordance with local regulations.

Hazards: May cause skin and eye irritation and may be harmful if inhaled at high concentrations. Follow all instructions on the label and accompanying technical documentation.

STORAGE:

Keep in the original, tightly closed packaging. Store in a cool, dry place, away from sources of heat, sparks and flames.

SHELF LIFE: 48 months.
