Description
COMPOSITION: Each dose contain
Infectious Bursal Disease Virus [N/ME-IBD/IM-818 (IBD-7) Intermediate Plus Strain] ≥102.0 EID50
VACCINATION PROGRAM:
Birds can be vaccinated from 12 day of age onwards
The vaccine should be administered via the drinking water routes.
Vaccine shall be reconstituted with sterile water free from disinfectant and/or antiseptic
For 1,000 birds, reconstitute the lyophilisate pellet corresponding to 1,000 doses into 3 to 5 ml of non-chlorinated water and subsequently dilute it into the volume of non-chlorinated drinking water to be consumed within one to two hours.
When using mains water, treat all water to come into contact with the vaccine with skimmed milk powder at a rate of 2.5 g per litre to neutralize traces of chlorine.
Birds should be deprived of water for two hours before vaccination.
Contraindication: Do not vaccinate diseased birds.
SPECICAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
The use of this vaccine does not affect the egg-laying rate.
Vaccinated chicken may excrete the vaccine strain at least 5 days following vaccination. During this time, the contact of immunosuppressed and unvaccinated chicken with vaccinated chicken should be avoided.
Personal protective equipment consisting of protective disposable gloves and safety glasses should be worn when handling the veterinary medicinal product. On completion, operators should wash and disinfect hands in an approved disinfectant.
In case of accidental ingestion and/or spillage onto the skin, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or the label to the physician. This medicinal product contains thiomersal (an organomercuric compound) as a preservative and therefore, it is possible that sensitisation reactions may occur.
Residual amounts of the vaccine need to be disposed of according to local requirements.
STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Store and transport refrigerated (+2°C and +8°C). Do not freeze.
Protect from light. Protect from direct sunlight.
Store in a dry place. Keep the vial tightly closed. Keep the vial in the outer carton.
SHELF LIFE:
24 months after the manufacturing date. 3 hours after opening.
