VACCINATION PROGRAM:
Vaccine is recommended for use from anytime after 10 days of age.
Method of administration: Vaccine can be administered either by drinking water method or by oclulo-nasal and oral drop method.
Drinking water method:
All equipments used for vaccination are to be carefully cleaned, and also need to be free from detergents & disinfectants.
Estimate the amount of water according to the number of birds to be vaccinated. Only cold water (not more than 25°C) of drinking water quality should be used for vaccination.
Water consumption details should be assessed a day before of vaccination. As a rule of thumb 1000 vaccine doses are suspended in 1 litre of water per day of life for 1000 birds i.e. for 1000 chicks of 15 days, 15 litres of water is necessary. Never exceed 40 litres of water for administration.
The addition of skimmed milk powder (4-6 g/l of water) may positively influence the stability of vaccine. Skimmed milk or skimmed milk powder must be carefully mixed with the water before dilution of vaccine.
For easy handling the vaccine should be prepared in small container (about 1 lit). Remove aluminium cap. Open the stopper of vaccine vial under water and dilute the contents completely. Rinse the vial carefully and empty it completely. The vaccine suspension is to be then diluted in the larger vessel and mixed again.
The complete contents of the vaccine vials should be used for one flock of drinking water system only. Splitting of the diluted vaccine may lead to dosage error.
Water present in the drinking water system and pipes should be drained before application of vaccine. Since drinking water consumption of chicks vary, it may be necessary to withdraw the drinking water for 2-3 hours before vaccination to ensure that all birds will drink during the vaccination phase.
Oculo-nasal and oral drop method:
Only reconstitute the vaccine with the diluent supplied with the vaccine. The amount of diluent to be used for reconstitution is specified in the table below.
| No | Pack size | Diluent Quantity |
| 1 | 1000 doses | 36 ml |
| 2 | 2500 doses | 90 ml |
Withdraw 2 mL of chilled diluent with the help of sterile disposable syringe and inject into vaccine vial. Mix thoroughly to dissolve the contents of vaccine. Transfer the entire reconstituted vaccine into the diluent bottle. Repeat the procedure 2 to 3 times to avoid any traces of vaccine in the vaccine vial. Administer one drop containing one dose of vaccine to each bird using dropper.
PRECAUTIONS
Vaccinate only healthy birds, which have attained recommended body weight and age group.
Opened vials and reconstituted vaccine must be used immediately.
Discard all used vials, closures and unused contents by burning or deep burying.
Do not expose the vaccine to sunlight, heat, disinfectants and detergents.
Do not use damaged vials.
Vaccine should be used within 2 hours of reconstitution and unused vaccine should be discarded.
