Description

COMPOSITION: Each dose contain

Lumpy Skin Disease Virus Neethling strain  ≥ 10^3.5 TCID₅₀

VACCINATION PROGRAM:

Dosage: Cattle: 2ml/animal. Subcutaneous at the neck region

The vaccine must be reconstituted with sterile diluent provided.

Using a 16-gauge ¾ inch single use sterile syringe, transfer about 2-5 ml of sterile diluent to the vial containing the freeze-dried vaccine. Mix thoroughly until the pellet dissolved. Transfer the suspension back to the remaining sterile diluent and mix well again. The vaccine is now ready for use and it must be used without delay.

Primary Vaccination:

Calves from vaccinated or infected dams: vaccination is carried out from the age of 3 months.

Calves from unvaccinated dams: vaccination is carried out from any age.

MEVAC LSD is safe in pregnant animals (avoid vaccination within one week before and after delivery).

Booster vaccination:

annual vaccination (12 months). It is preferable to vaccinate the animals before the risk period: Before the season of blood-feeding insects.

In emergency cases: Vaccinated animals could be boosted with MEVAC LSD after 5-6 months from the primary vaccination.

Side Effects:

Injection site swelling may occur in very rare cases. These swellings usually resolve without treatment.

A temporary decrease in milk production may occur in very rare cases.

Overdose: No adverse reactions other than those reported under side effects.

Warning & Precautions:

Vaccinate only healthy animals.

Only use sterile syringes and needles.

Ensure that equipment is clean and sterile during vaccination.

Keep the vaccine cool and avoid exposure to sunlight and high temperature during injection.

Destroy any unused vaccines as well as vaccine container and vaccination equipment according to

local regulation after vaccination.

Use entire vaccine vial content when opened. Don’t store partially used vaccine vial for future use.

While handling the vaccine, avoid contact with eyes, hands and clothing.

STORAGE CONDITION

Store at a temperature of 2°C – 8°C.

EXPIRY DATE:

24 months after the manufacturing date.
